Botox® and Wrinkle Relaxers
Botox® and Wrinkle Relaxers
Botox® and other wrinkle relaxers such as Xeomin®, Dysport® and Daxxify® belong to a group of injectable medications called Neurotoxins. Neurotoxins are FDA approved to decrease the force of contraction of the muscles in the face, thereby reducing the creasing and folding of skin that contributes to fine lines and wrinkles.
Neurotoxins are most often used to lessen the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in the forehead, glabella (the “elevens”), and crows feet.
Benefits of Neurotoxins:
- Reduced wrinkles
- Enhanced natural beauty
- Can provide a “lift”
- Fast Treatment
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Patients first meet with the provider and complete a comprehensive evaluation where they are explained the risks and benefits.
- Your provider will then make a recommendation for treatment area(s), amount and type of medication based on your consultation.
- Injections are performed with a tiny needle and syringe.
- Only very small amounts of medication are needed at each site, and the entire treatment is usually over within 15 minutes.
- Results typically begin showing within anywhere from a few days to two weeks.
WHY WE LOVE IT
Neurotoxins are not just for improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, but they can also be used proactively in both men and women, preventing the forceful muscular contractions of the face that cause deep creasing and fine lines if left untreated over time.
At PUR-FORM, we are dedicated to providing natural looking results that make you feel good inside and out. The trick to neurotoxin injections is so that nobody knows you had them. We love this treatment because it makes you look and feel your best by turning back the clock and restoring a more youthful appearance.
As a male, it is difficult to find an injector with the knowledge and experience to provide me with a natural look – the true test of an aesthetics provider. As soon as I started talking to Emily, it was clear she knew what she was doing. Emily is not your typical injector. I’d trust her artistic and skilled hand on any face.
