How It Works

1. Evaluation

Our functional provider will sit down with you one-on-one for a detailed initial evaluation, taking the time to fully understand your health history, symptoms, and lifestyle. During this time, you will have the opportunity to outline your top health concerns and goals.

2. Initial Care Plan and Testing

Following this appointment, our provider will give the patient an in-depth, individualized plan of care to address goals discussed, and determine what specialized advanced testing is appropriate.

3. Test Results Review and Updated Plan of Care

Once the patient’s test results are received, the provider will walk you through an in-depth review of the findings, and expand the plan of care accordingly. At this point, some patients require further/additional testing.

4. Patient Follows Care-Plan

Next, the patient will follow recommendations made by the provider by adapting daily routines and integrating various modalities, along with diet, exercise, and mindfulness practices.

5. Provider/Coach Monitoring and Goal Achievements

Along the way through your health journey, our provider and coaches will guide you through the recommendations made, working toward achieving your long-term goals.

Your 4-Point Precision Plan

1. Diet

Nutrition and dietary measures are an integral part of an individual's health and wellbeing. Our provider will aim to make recommendations with your body’s specific needs in mind.

2. Lifestyle

Having a positive attitude, exercising on a regular basis, eating a balanced and nutritious diet, incorporating daily care and reducing stress are all critical factors that affect your health outcomes.

3. Herbals/Supplements

There are many instances where a micronutrient or herbal supplement can be given to promote the same results as some medications, with far less side effects.

4. Holistic/Alternative modalities & Mind-Body Practices

  • Mindfulness/Meditation
    • Psychological scientists have shown that practicing mindfulness and meditation can change the neuronal pathways and activity in different regions of the brain.
  • Yoga/Qigong/Reiki/Acupuncture/Aromatherapy
    • Many of these therapies have been practiced for centuries world wide and focus on healing disease and pain by balancing all aspects of your life.
  • Cryotherapy, Infrared Sauna, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
    • These treatments are beneficial for every individual to promote overall health, performance, healing, and anti-aging.

FAQ

What kind of advanced testing do you do?

Unique from traditional care offices, our Functional Medicine Program offers access to specialized advanced testing such as food sensitivities, hormone, thyroid, micronutrient, mycotoxin, organic acids, GI-MAP, and many more.

What should I bring with me to my initial appointment?

Please bring a list of your medications, vitamins and supplements; any prior medical records and lab reports. We ask that you complete the intake and forms 48 hours prior to your appointment.

Do I still need a primary care physician?

YES! Although our practitioners are classically trained in allopathic medicine, we recommend that our members have a primary care physician for urgent and same-day visits and vaccinations, not provided by our office. Regular OB/GYN visits are recommended for our female patients as well for regular pap smears. Our goal is to focus on health optimization. Visit an emergency room or urgent care in the case of a medical emergency.

Are lab tests included?

Some of our packages include specific labs and specialty testing. Testing for our personalized medicine program may vary based on which tests our provider needs to evaluate.

How much do lab tests cost?

Lab tests for blood and specialty tests can range. Please contact our office for further information.

How does lab testing work?

Labs can be collected in our office, or at a preferred draw location discussed with the provider. Once your samples are collected, final results usually complete in 10-14 business days, however, this may take longer depending on specialty testing.

Does your office accept insurance for these services?

We do not accept insurance for services. If you would like to run your labs through insurance, our provider will give you a list of desired testing. We encourage our patients to call their insurance company to inquire about coverage. We cannot guarantee labs processed through insurance will be covered.

What’s the approach to prescription medication?

Our providers are licensed to practice medicine in their state, and have state DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) licensing to allow for prescribing pharmaceutical medication.

What’s the approach to supplements?

Just like prescription drugs, supplements are taken seriously regarding safety, quality, effectiveness, and relevance. Our practice only works with companies that are GMP-certified, professional grade, who use the best raw materials to exceed standards of quality, purity, safety, and efficacy.
