Lindsay O’Neill on Illness, Intuition, and Living a Life Aligned with Healing

This week on The Healthspan Collective, we welcomed Lindsay O’Neill, TEDx speaker, founder of Wellness Eternal, host of the Optimize We podcast, and mother of three, for one of the most powerful conversations we’ve had yet. Lindsay’s story is about more than overcoming illness. It’s about radical self-awareness, intuitive parenting, and the mindset shift that true healing requires.

From Tech Exec to Wellness Advocate

After a successful two-decade career in tech and AI, Lindsay’s life changed dramatically when she was hit by a car while seven months pregnant with her third daughter. The physical trauma triggered premature labor, a cascade of health issues, and eventually a dual diagnosis of lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. She describes this time as a painful wake-up call:

“I had ignored so many things in my life, not just in my health, but also in my relationships, in my work. And this accident forced me to really stop and slow down.”

With the help of a functional medicine doctor and a rigorous healing protocol, she eventually reversed her autoimmune conditions completely.

“I came out on the other side completely autoimmune-free. And at 35 or 36, I felt better than I had ever felt in my entire life.”

A Mother’s Mission to Heal

When her young daughter Bryn began facing serious medical issues of her own, including chronic UTIs, muscle dysfunction, and digestive problems, Lindsay found herself back on a healing path. This time, she stepped into the role of mother and advocate.

The breakthrough came in an unexpected way: a session in the Immortal Chamber, a high-tech meditative healing bed. After just 30 minutes, everything changed.

“She came out of the chamber and said to me, ‘Mom, I’m not supposed to be the sick kid anymore. I’m supposed to be the healer.’”

Tests later confirmed her muscles were functioning normally for the first time in five years.

Healing the Mind to Heal the Body

Lindsay firmly believes that physical healing cannot happen without emotional healing. That’s what made the difference for her and for Bryn.

“I don’t think you can actually heal the body unless you are also, at the same time, healing the mind.”

Her own transformation started with acknowledging how disconnected she was from her own well-being. Once she got serious about her health, everything shifted.

Empowering the Next Generation

One of the most powerful parts of our conversation was how Lindsay is raising her daughters to be conscious about their own health. She isn’t pushing a rigid lifestyle. She’s modeling it, and her kids are paying attention.

“Kids are really smart, and I don’t think a lot of parents give them credit. You have to be the example. And you also can’t jam stuff down their throats.”

From scanning skincare products to choosing clean foods, her daughters are already learning how to advocate for themselves in ways most adults don’t.

Healing Starts with Readiness

Lindsay’s story is a beautiful reminder that healing doesn’t happen until you’re truly ready. Whether you’re dealing with autoimmune issues, parenting through illness, or just feeling stuck, the invitation is the same.

“Small hinges swing big doors. You don’t have to change everything all at once. You just have to be ready.”
