Last week, I had the honor of giving two lectures at RAADfest (also known as the Revolution Against Aging and Death) in Anaheim, California. This annual gathering brings together scientists, researchers, entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts passionate about extending the human lifespan and combating aging. This unique event is a nexus for the latest advancements in longevity science, anti-aging technologies, and radical life extension strategies. In addition to giving the lectures, we also had an exhibit on EBO2, our extracorporeal blood oxygenation and ozonation technique, and the Pur-Light, which is used to stimulate biologics and recently photo-modulate several intravenous compounds, including NAD+.
What is RAADfest?
RAADfest was founded in 2016 by the Coalition for Radical Life Extension, a non-profit organization that fosters collaboration and accelerates progress in age-reversal technologies. It has grown by leaps and bounds. The festival’s primary goal is to promote and support the idea that aging is a conquerable challenge, not an inevitable fate.
Key Features of RAADfest
One of the main features of RAADfest is cutting-edge presentations. Leading researchers and visionaries in the field of longevity science present their latest findings and theories. There were many excellent presentations, but a few stood out to me:
- William Fallon: Founder of the Life Extension Nutrient Company, gave an incredibly enlightening talk. His knowledge of anti-aging science is astounding. His fascinating presentation showed that we are on the cusp of some revolutionary paradigm changes regarding how we face aging.
- Dr. William Andrews: One of the foremost experts in the world on telomere science. Telomeres are the caps at the end of our DNA strands. As we age, they get shorter until the cell no longer reproduces.
- Dr. Greg Fahy: Lectured on his work with the TRIIM trial (Thymus Regeneration, Immunorestoration, and Insulin Mitigation). This trial is one of the first to report an increase in predicted human lifespan utilizing a currently accessible aging intervention. The trial uses DHEA, Metformin, and HGH (human growth hormone).
- Dr. Aubrey de Grey: Spoke about a mouse study showing Robust Mouse Rejuvenation. This study utilized four therapies: Rapamycin, a senolytic, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), and telomerase expression, which showed significant age reversal.
- Dr. Joseph Cleaver: Talked about Klotho protein, a topic I believe will take on increasing importance in the anti-aging world.
I was honored to give two lectures at RAADfest, one being on EBO2 and photobiomodulation with the PurLight, and my main-stage lecture on heat and cold shock proteins. These proteins are stimulated not only by temperature but by a variety of stresses on the body. They have a marked influence on many aspects of our health, from our body’s hormones to protecting our immune system.
As research in aging and longevity advances, RAADfest remains at the forefront of disseminating information and fostering collaboration in this rapidly evolving field. This festival’s organizers and participants, including myself, maintain an optimistic outlook, believing that significant life-extension breakthroughs are possible and imminent.
