My day starts by getting up a little after 4:00 AM every morning. I then follow this routine:

  1. Read until I leave the house at 4:40 AM
  2. Walk silently for an hour and 15 minutes (4 miles)
  3. 25 minutes on my elliptical (to bring my heart rate to the 140s)
  4. Swim for about 15-20 minutes

I follow this regimen seven days a week before I go into the office or work in my garden on the weekends.
